По оперативным данным пожар действует на площади 2 Га, низовой. Очаг пожара находиться в 3 км от села Чапаево. Опашка села проводилась в начале лесопожарного периода 2021 года. На прикрытие села задействовано 5 человек.
Дополнительно для подвоза воды привлечено 2 цистерны от МУП Тепло сервис г. Корсаков. Дополнительно к месту пожара из Южно-Сахалинска убыло 5 единиц спецтехники и 15 человек.
