За словами причетних до операції, для виконання завдання було придбано велику партію FPV окулярів для пілотів ЗС РФ. Фахівці української розвідки додатково обладнали їх функцією дистанційного підриву. Після цього, у координації з ГУР, російські волонтери безоплатно, в якості благодійної допомоги, відправили ці окуляри до підрозділів БПЛА армії РФ.
