قال الراغب: وضاحية كلّ شيءٍ ناحيته البارزة.
أقول: ومنه الضاحية، وهي أطراف المدينة؛ باعتبار أنَّ تلك المناطق ليس لها بيوتٌ معتدّ بها، فكلّ سكّانها ضاحين، أو لأنَّها ليست في صون المدينة، بل خارجةٌ عنها. وليس من هذه المادّة (ضحّى) من الأضحية أو بنفسه أو براحته؛ فإنَّه من المضاعف، وله وضعٌ مستقلٌّ في اللغة.
كما ليس منه ما ذكره الراغب بقوله: تضحّى أي: أكل في الضحى، كما يقال: تغدّى، أي: أكل في الغداة، ومنه ضحاء وغداء.
ويمكن جعل الليل قرينةً على إرادة الوقت في سائر هذه الآيات: وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا، وَالضُّحَى* وَاللَّيْلِ، وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَاهَا. وأمّا قوله: وَأَنْ يُحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى فهو ظرف زمانٍ.
فيتعيّن من هذه الناحية لذلك هو الانسياق عرفاً للاجتماع، ولا يمكن أن نفهم منه نور الشمس، إلّا أن يحمل على المكان مجازاً، وهو خلاف الظاهر.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 1.6%, under pressure from U.S. regulatory scrutiny on New York-listed Chinese companies. Stocks were more buoyant in Europe, where Frankfurt’s DAX surged 1.4%. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy.
