Водоизмещение судна, которое строится по заказу Рыболовецкого колхоза им. В.И. Ленина (Петропавловск-Камчатский), составляет более 14 тыс. тонн, а длина достигает 121 м. БМРТ оснащен современным орудием лова, рыбоперерабатывающим оборудованием и морозильными трюмами для хранения готовой продукции.
