На двоих – председателя КС Валерия Зорькина и его заместителя Сергея Маврина – такие возрастные ограничения не распространяются с 2010 г.
Чтобы КС мог собираться и принимать правомочные решения, кворум должен составлять не менее восьми судей. В Совет Федерации предложения по кандидатам на должности судей вносит глава государства.
