Сотрудники ФСБ Оймяконского района, остановив на улице поселка гражданина Узбекистана Азизова Ойбека, обнаружили у него россыпное шлиховое золото общим весом 1,3 килограмма, общая стоимость которого составила 4 017 225,55 рублей.
После возбуждения уголовного дела, Азизов сообщил следствию, что нашел золото на улице у подъезда дома.
Суд и следствие поверили его показаниям, а может и не смогли опровергнуть их, но в итоге 22 февраля суд признал Азизова виновным в незаконном хранении драгметаллов (ч. 4 ст. 191 УК РФ) и приговорил к двум годам лишения свободы условно.
