Персональные данные россиян запретят хранить на зарубежных серверах. Соответствующий закон одобрен Советом Федерации, направлен на подпись Президенту и должен вступить в силу 1 июля. Согласно документу, базы с информацией о гражданах должны находиться на территории России и не иметь копий за ее пределами. Исключения составят данные дипломатических работников и сотрудников российских СМИ, работающих за рубежом.
Документ призван, в том числе, дать возможность российским компаниям развивать собственные технологии и сервисы, пояснил сенатор Артем Шейкин.

Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today."
