Путешественники преодолели Ангару, Енисей, побывали на плато Путорана, добрались до Карского моря и вернулись через Нижнюю Тунгуску и Лену. Часть маршрута проходила по пути землепроходца Пантелея Пянды, который в XVII веке первым из европейцев поднялся по реке Нижняя Тунгуска и вышел на Лену.
За 70 дней экспедиции экипажи моторной лодки катамаранного типа «Искатель» несколько раз сменяли друг друга, всего путешественники преодолели более 10 тыс. км.
