В структуре преступности традиционно фигурируют убийства, факты умышленного причинения тяжкого вреда здоровью, в том числе со смертельным исходом, изнасилования, разбои, грабежи и кражи, а недокомплект в МВД по Иркутской области, выросший на 12,5% за 10 лет, только усугубляет ситуацию.
Самыми безопасными регионами оказались за прошлый год кавказские республики: Чечня, Дагестан и Ингушетия.
