اللهم أزكى صلواتك، وأجلا تسليماتك، وأرقى بركاتك، على فجر الهُدى ونور الدُّجى، سيد الكونينِ والثقّلين، المبعوث بالهداية والحامي من الغواية، مَن بدد الله به ظلمات الجهل والكُفر وأحيا به أنوار الإيمان والبرّ، المعصوم المتبوع، والمُقرّب المسموع، ذو المقام المحمود والحوض المورود والسؤدد المشهود، المُحيي ما اندرس من معالم التوحيد والعاصِم أتباعه من العذاب يوم الوعيد، خيُر ما برأ الله من البرايا والخليقة، وأجلّ من وطئ الثرى على الحقيقة، نبيّ الرحمات والمَكرُمات والآيات والهدايات، اختاره ربّه فصيّرَه المأمون، وامتازه عن الخلق فهو الهادي المصون، أحاطه الله بعنايته فجعله في سامِقِ مراتب الاصطفاء والاجتباء، وجمع له منازل الإفضال حتى كمّل له خصائص الإحياء.

In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback.
