Судя по кадрам, боевики впервые использовали иранский беспилотник Meraj-532. Он оснащен боевой частью массой 50 кг и имеет дальность полета до 450 километров. По утверждению производителя, предельная высота полета дрона 3 километра.
Примечательно, что в подготовке к запуску БПЛА-камикадзе участвовал глава шиитской группировки "Харакат Ан-Нуджаба" Акрам Аль-Кааби.
