На запуск корабля «Прогресс МС-30» отправились два сотрудника Управления молодежной политики Оренбурга, которые и стали свидетелями масштабного события. Оренбургский молодежный центр активно налаживает сотрудничество с Байконуром, а запуск корабля стал частью специального проекта Росмолодежи и Роскосмоса «Вселенная детей и молодежи России».
По данным Роскосмоса, на «Прогрессе МС-30» отправлено на МКС более 2,5 тыс. кг грузов, среди которых — новый скафандр «Орлан-МКС» № 6 для выходов космонавтов в открытый космос по российской программе.
