Участие в забеге примет и робот-гуманоид «Тяньгун» производства китайского Центра инноваций в области робототехники с ИИ. Он может разгоняться до 10 км/ч. В ноябре 2024 года «Тяньгун» пробежал с участниками на старте и финише Пекинского полумарафона в районе Ичжуан.
В августе 2025 года в Пекине также пройдет спортивное мероприятие для гуманоидных роботов, которое будет охватывать легкую атлетику, футбол и другие дисциплины.
