Затвор 12,7-мм пулемёта КОРД.
Затвор размещается в затворной раме, он предназначен для запирания ствола и осуществления выстрела. Запирание ствола производится поворотом затвора. Поворот осуществляется посредством взаимодействия фигурных вырезов затвора с осью, соединяющей его с затворной рамой. При запирании ствола - ось, воздействуя на фигурные вырезы затвора, поворачивает его против часовой стрелки; боевые выступы затвора, расположенные в два ряда, заходят за боевые упоры муфты ствола. Ось также удерживает ударник с пружиной, расположенный внутри затвора. Ударник, продвигаясь вперёд вместе с осью, наносит удар бойком по капсюлю патрона. На переднем торце затвора расположены: зеркало, два экстрактора для извлечения гильзы из патронника и жёсткие зацепы, фиксирующие положение гильзы. На зеркале размещается плунжер, предназначенный для поджимания гильзы во время её перемещения отражателем.
