وقد ورد عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) ما يميز بين الناصبي وغيره إذ قال: (إياكم وذكر علي وفاطمة (عليهما السلام)، فإن الناس ليس شيئًا أبغض إليهم من ذكر علي وفاطمة) [وسائل الشيعة ج ١٦ ص ٢٣٨].
