Сделка Византии и Руси: «ход королевой» против правил

Сделка, на которую решился император Византии Василий II (военно-политический союз с Владимиром в обмен на его брак с сестрой императора при условии «крещения всех людей земли Русской») была неприемлемой с т зр. византийских традиций. Опираясь на постановления Трулльского собора (691-692), осуждавшего династические браки с «варварами», валилевсы Македонской династии (867-1056) распространили этот запрет на любых иноземцев, даже христианского вероисповедания. Заключая брачный договор с «архонтом росов», Василий II не только нарушал официальную доктрину, но и шел наперекор общественному мнению, враждебно настроенному по отношению к «народу рос» в связи с ожиданием на исходе тысячелетия второго пришествия Христа (русы отождествлялись с библейским народом Рош, с которым связывалось исполнение пророчеств о падении Константинополя). Но ради политической выгоды и сохранения личной власти Василий закрыл глаза на все «но»

He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
