Он останется в нашей памяти и сердцах большим ученым и человеком. Мы будем с глубокой благодарностью вспоминать его за академическое наследие и высоконравственные поступки в самых сложных и противоречивых ситуациях. В своей работе мы учились и будем учиться у Сергея Михайловича, мы ценили и будем ценить его доброжелательный нрав, его верность нашей науке.
