Министерство туризма и молодёжной политики Кузбасса с 1 января 2023 года станет самостоятельной структурой и будет переименовано в министерство туризма Кузбасса. Другое же ведомство — министерство науки и высшего образования региона — станет министерством науки, высшего образования и молодёжной политики. Часть функций и полномочий в сфере молодёжной политики будут переданы региональному минобрнауки.
Руководителям ведомств поручено провести организационно-штатные мероприятия с учётом распределения функций и полномочий в соответствии постановлением. Контроль за исполнением постановления возложен на замгубернаторарегиона по внутренней политике Ольгу Турбабу.
