In addition to PTSD - post-traumatic stress disorder, there is also CPTSD - complex post-traumatic stress disorder. CPTSD is PTSD plus three additional symptoms - emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, negative self-esteem.

Sample: 153 patients with diagnoses of schizophrenia spectrum and PTSD, and 75% had at least one additional diagnosis.

For six days participants completed an assessment of emotional state, CPTSD symptoms (emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, negative self-esteem) and psychotic symptoms on smartphones up to 10 times a day.

Shown: CPTSD symptoms - emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, negative self-esteem during the previous 90 minutes predict paranoid thoughts, voices in the head and visual hallucinations i.e. psychotic symptoms in the following time.
