Премьер-министр Гренландии Муте Эгеде отверг возможность продажи острова после заявления избранного президента США Дональда Трампа о том, что Вашингтону следует завладеть этой автономной датской территорией.
«Гренландия принадлежит нам. Мы не продаемся и никогда не будем проданы. Наша долгосрочная борьба за свободу не должна быть проиграна», — подчеркнул Эгеде (цитата по AFP). Вместе с тем он отметил важность открытости Гренландии для международного сотрудничества и торговли.
Ранее Дональд Трамп заявил о стратегической необходимости для США завладеть Гренландией. «Я с радостью объявляю, что назначил Кена Хауэри на должность посла США в Дании. В интересах национальной безопасности и глобальной свободы Соединенные Штаты считают, что контроль над Гренландией абсолютно необходим. Кен будет превосходно представлять интересы нашей страны», — написал Трамп на своей платформе Truth Social.
