Руководитель группы проектов развития «Сколтеха» Владимир Каляев пояснил, что принцип работы напоминает очистку посуды губкой – загрязнения переходят с камня на поверхность сети. Эксперимент проводится несколько дней, специалисты подбирают оптимальные режимы очистки для труднодоступных мест.
Метод позволяет вывозить только загрязнённую сеть, а очищенные камни остаются на берегу.
