В порядок приведут участки автодороги Невельск – Томари – аэропорт Шахтерск в границах сел Чехов, Новосибирское, Красногорск. В Южно-Сахалинской городской агломерации обустроят северо-западный объезд, а также заасфальтируют участки на улицах Ленина, Украинской, 4-ой Железнодорожной, Советской.
В 2020 году благодаря нацпроекту, который реализуется по инициативе Владимира Путина, в островном регионе привели в нормативное состояние более 29 километров дорог.
