Давним моим читателям известна моя мысль о том, что появление памятной доски, посвящённой одному из главных организаторов блокады и геноцида русских на Северо-Западе нашей страны Густаву Маннергейму, было бы невозможно, продолжай наша северная столицы носить имя Ленинград. Да и вынуждены были её снять власти только потому, что живо в этом городе ленинградское наследие… Вот и сейчас задаю себе вопрос: а выдержал бы этот город блокаду под именем Санкт-Петербург? Мой ответ отрицательный. Петроград – 50 на 50. Ленинград и ленинградцы с самого первого дня блокады знали, что выдержат, и эта уверенность не уходила у них даже на пике страданий зимы с 1941 на 1942-й. Имя значит очень много.
