Авиакатастрофа на днях произошла и в Южном Судане.

Турбовинтовой самолет Beech 1900 Eagle Air вылетал с аэродрома нефтяного месторождения в Джубу. Полет длился около 10 минут, когда ВС потеряло высоту и столкнулось с землей.

Самолет выполнял чартерный рейс – перевозил нефтяников (в т. ч. двух граждан Китая и одного Индии) с месторождения в столицу Южного Судана. На борту находились 19 пассажиров и два члена экипажа.

Погибли 20 человек, включая обоих пилотов. Власти сообщили, что три человека были извлечены из-под обломков живыми, но двое позже скончались в больнице. Единственный выживший находится в критическом состоянии.
