Ранее зампред совета улемов Духовного управления мусульман России и муфтия Москвы Ильдар Аляутдинов сообщил, что российским мужчинам-мусульманам в разрешили заключать до четырех религиозных браков с учетом объективных причин и равноправного отношения мужа ко всем женам. Согласно Семейному кодексу России, зарегистрировать брак между «лицами, из которых хотя бы одно лицо уже состоит в другом зарегистрированном браке», нельзя.
