A significant event took place today: Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the SKOLKA Innovation School in Skolkovo. This school is one of the best in the world, designed to accommodate 825 students with over 150 teachers and other specialists.

"I will tell you that this is a unique school not only for Moscow - although there are many other excellent schools in Moscow - but also for our entire country. Not only because it is so wonderful, comfortable and bright, but also because it has practice-oriented education when you can learn not only abstractly, but also through real-life examples so that you can apply your knowledge at home, outdoors and in the city. I hope that you will all like this school," stated the Mayor of Moscow.

Together with Moscow, with the support of Sergei Sobyanin, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the BRICS association, we are planning to implement the large Hockey City Skolkovo project.

This multifunctional sports complex will contain areas for more than 15 sports including an ice rink, a gym, trampoline and multi-purpose sports halls and a swimming pool. The complex will host the Red Machine Junior hockey school (a project of the SKA Academy), a figure skating school, judo, swimming, gymnastics and other sports.

Hockey City Skolkovo will be a real breakthrough in the field of sport and education. It will give young athletes the opportunity to grow up as harmoniously developed individuals, so that sporting activities do not come at the expense of education and vice versa. It will have a specific schedule for students who will go to school and engage in sport there. Furthermore, our plans include student exchange programs from the BRICS countries.

Our project became possible thanks to the attention which Moscow and Sergei Sobyanin pay to the development of our future, our children, for which I want to once again thank him greatly!

Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. Friday’s performance was part of a larger shift. For the week, the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell 2%, 2.9%, and 3.5%, respectively. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
