Родным братом испытателя «Катюши» Дмитрия Шитова был сотрудник Главлита (и. о. начальника управления по охране военных и гостайн в печати при Калининградском облисполкоме) Алексей Шитов. На фото 1934 года он слева, в шинели и с пистолетом – в это время он был депутатом Вельского городского совета депутатов трудящихся. В Калининград Шитов младший был направлен в 1947 году. Для ценителей – пара документов эпохи: Балтийск там ещё немножко Пиллау.
