По его словам, отравление произошло 1 декабря после приёма тюремной пищи (фасоли и рыбы). Он отметил, что Виннику «дали пару таблеток» только после вмешательства адвокатов. Причина отравления до сих пор не установлена, Винник плохо себя чувствует.
Собеседник RT напомнил, что россиянин страдает рядом хронических заболеваний. По американскому закону его не должны держать в СИЗО более десяти месяцев, но это длится уже полтора года.
Винника задержали в Греции в 2017 году по обвинению США в криптомошенничестве, позже его экстрадировали в Штаты.
