Росавиация признала, что перед падением самолета AZAL Грозный атаковали дроны, в связи с чем в городе вводился план «Ковер»
Обстановка в районе аэропорта Грозного в то время, когда туда подлетал Embraer 190 азербайджанской авиакомпании AZAL, была «весьма сложной», заявил глава Росавиации Дмитрий Ядров. По его словам, украинские БПЛА в это время «предпринимали террористические атаки на гражданскую инфраструктуру в городах Грозный и Владикавказ».
Глава Росавиации также подтвердил, что непосредственно перед крушением лайнера AZAL вводился режим «Ковер», при котором все воздушные суда должны были покинуть опасное пространство. В то же время, добавил Ядров, в Грозном стоял плотный туман, из-за которого «на высоте 500 м не было видимости».
Пилот Embraer 190, по словам руководителя ведомства, дважды попытался посадить самолет в Грозном, но обе попытки оказались безуспешными. «Командиру предлагались другие аэропорты. Он принял решение следовать в аэропорт Актау», — заключил Ядров
