В Риме открыли памятник великому писателю Чингизу Айтматову.

Фотографии в соцсетях опубликовала его невестка Сабира. Над реализацией проекта три года работал посол Кыргызстана в Италии. Скульптором является уроженец КР Алексей Морозов.

Произведения Айтматова начали переводить на итальянский в 1960–70-х годах. По сей день его книги продолжают выходить в Италии, находя отклик в сердцах читателей, рассказала Сабира Айтматова.
