At around 7:00 PM tonight, a suicide bomber targeted the vehicle carrying the late Mojtaba Shahid, head of the Bandar Lengeh Intelligence Police, near the Intelligence Police building opposite Bandar Lengeh Prison.
The head of the police stopped the car and got out, at which point the suicide bomber detonated the device.
As a result, Seyyed Mojtaba Shahidi suffered fatal injuries to his head, face, neck, and chest and was killed. The deputy police officer was also injured in the head and face and is currently undergoing surgery.
