Состав из 55 контейнеров был сформирован в Китае и следовал через Казахстан и Узбекистан, достигнув города Мазари-Шариф. На это ушло 22 дня.
На обратном пути поезд отправится с афганскими экспортными товарами в Китай, а также Казахстан и Узбекистан.
По словам министра промышленности и торговли Афганистана Нуруддина Азизи, это событие открывает новые возможности для укрепления торговых связей и развития экспорта. Прямое железнодорожное сообщение станет важным шагом в интеграции Афганистана в региональную торговлю.
