I was thinking about all those little 'be nice' lessons we were given when we were young;
-This person have a different skin color? It's not important. -This person is fat? Don't judge them. -This person is acting stupidly? Look away. -This person is threatening you? Go get help. -This person is hurting you? Forgive him.
But in reality, in all these situations, we were actually being told not to listen to our instincts, not to listen to that voice in our heads that warned us; that voice that says; -Be wary! -Use your judgment! -Observe the differences and learn! -Defend yourself! -Get angry!
In summary: We have been taught not to listen to ourselves. Not to trust ourselves.
Isn't there something totally crazy about being taught to not listen to a primal instinct that tells us how to act, and how to feel, how to be careful of what's different?

But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat. The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Such instructions could actually endanger people — citizens receive air strike warnings via smartphone alerts.
