Нужен артикль или нет?
Кажется, что нужен, но часто вообще с профессиями, а особенно с высокоранговыми постами — опускается. Особенно, когда информация только о том, что стал/был профессором/академиком и тд. Например, если всё капитализировать

то артикль точно не надо, пафос зашкаливает. Но без артикля мне глаз режет.

He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
