Турецкий спутник Türksat 6A был успешно выведен на орбиту с помощью ракеты Falcon 9 компании SpaceX со станции космических сил на мысе Канаверал во Флориде, США.
В сферу обслуживания спутника войдут территории Индии, Таиланда, Малайзии и Индонезии. Благодаря Türksat 6A объем населения, охватываемый турецкими спутниками, увеличится с 3,5 до 5 миллиардов человек.
📆Проект разработки отечественного Türksat 6A, изготовленного полностью с использованием национальных ресурсов, был официально запущен 15 декабря 2014 года.
