В январе 2012 г. АО «Ангстрем», подконтрольное экс-министру связи РФ Леониду Рейману, поручилось за АО «Ангстрем-Т», другую компанию Реймана, по договору кредитной линии 2008 г. Кредит был выдан ВЭБом на реализацию в Зеленограде проекта «по производству субмикронных полупроводниковых компонентов».
Заемщик не расплатился и в 2019 г. по заявлению ВЭБа был признан банкротом. Задолженность «Ангстрем-Т» составляет ~93,8 млрд руб. На эту сумму ВЭБ начислил ~24,7 млрд руб т.н. мораторных процентов – это штрафные санкции за неисполнение должником обязательства, начисляемые с начала его банкротства по ставке рефинансирования.
В этом иске ВЭБ потребовал взыскать мораторные проценты с поручителя. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
