فساد علی شمخانی دبیر پیشین شورای عالی امنیت جمهوری اسلامی و خانواده‌اش به حدی رسیده که صدای برخی نمایندگان گوش به فرمان مجلس شورای اسلامی را هم درآورده است. امیرحسین ثابتی یکی از نمایندگان تهران، در مصاحبه‌ای که دوشنبه ۱۳ اسفندماه ۱۴۰۳ منتشر شد پرسیده «شمخانی تو این کشور چه کار کرده که اینهمه نفتکش داره؟» پیشتر مهدی نصیری مدیرمسئول پیشین کیهان تهران در یک سخنرانی گفته بود «۴۰ درصد نفت مملکت را بچه شمخانی صادر می‌کند و روزی یک میلیون دلار سهم به جیب می‌زند.»
