This is so true. I ditched being a software engineer because I was fed up. You might work your ass out for more than a decade but, in the end, nothing you do really matters.

Now? I just don't care anymore. I'm not the expert, as I now understand I never truly was one. You want the glory of solving a problem? Then I'll rely on you to have answers when things inevitably break, even if I might be capable of solving the problems on my own.
