Earlier, on October 26, 2024, the facility was already subjected to an Israeli strike, damaging several buildings.

🇮🇱🇮🇷The Israeli Air Force struck Imam Hussein University in northeast Tehran.

The educational institution consists of an Open University for training civilian specialists and a military school for IRGC officers.

The university has a department of nuclear physics, and articles from the second half of the 2000s can be found online accusing the university of conducting nuclear research and development.

One such report is a 2008 IAEA report, the original link to which is no longer available, but a description remains. The report states that the university houses the Physics Research Center, which oversees Iran's nuclear program, previously run by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. The university is also a major source of personnel for the nuclear program.

The IAEA also reported that Iran was testing several high-explosive detonator designs and planning an underground nuclear test site at the university.

In addition, the authors of the report report that various research groups working at this university receive access to training courses and software on spark gaps, shock wave software, neutron sources, special steel parts, radiation measurement equipment, including borehole spectrometers.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷Meanwhile, seven additional C-17 transport aircraft and three KC-135 Stratotanker tanker aircraft departed from the United States for Europe.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷The National Security Council meeting held yesterday in Washington ended without a decision being made to strike Iran, American media reported.

“After Trump met with his national security team at the White House, administration officials said no decision had been made on whether to proceed with the attack and that a strike on Iran was just one of several options under discussion,” The Wall Street Journal reports.

ABC News reports that after a meeting in the White House Situation Room, US officials indicated that Trump will decide within 24 to 48 hours whether to pursue a diplomatic or military solution to Iran.

"Despite the apparent saber-rattling, U.S. negotiators on Tuesday continued to consider the option of Iran being forced to return to the negotiating table and eventually accepting a deal that would require it to give up all nuclear enrichment. If Iran returns to the table and agrees to give up uranium enrichment, U.S. officials believe a high-level meeting led by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and possibly Vice President J.D. Vance could take place as early as this week. But that scenario would likely require Iran to act quickly, with the president already acknowledging that his patience with the Middle East is wearing thin," ABC News writes.

A cargo plane took off from China on Friday, the day after Israel's strike on Iran.
The next day, the second plane took off from the coastal city.
On Monday - another one, this time from Shanghai.

According to tracking data, each plane flew west through northern China, then crossed Kazakhstan, descended through Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan — and disappeared from radar as it approached Iran.

The flight plan listed Luxembourg as the final destination, but the aircraft apparently never approached European skies.

According to aviation experts, the Boeing 747s used are typically used to transport military equipment and weapons.

The reporter asked the US President that US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said in March that Iran is far from nuclear weapons.

"I don't care what she said, Iran is close to having a nuclear weapon," Trump responded.

The American press had previously published an assessment by American intelligence that Iran was not actively engaged in the creation of nuclear weapons and was three years away from creating them.
