به گزارش ایراف، فدارسیون پرورش اندام و فیتنس افغانستان با تایید این خبر می‌گوید، او عصر امروز ۴ بهمن، درگذشته است.
هرچند این فدراسیون دلیل مرگ آساهی را واضح اعلام نکرده است اما افراد نزدیک به او می‌گویند آساهی به اثر سکته قلبی درگذشته است.
نزدیکان این ورزشکار گفتند: “آساهی بعدظهر امروز ناگهان دچار درد در ناحیه قفسه سینه شد و خانواده او برای بردنش به بیمارستان فوراً اقدام کرد ولی او در بیمارستان درگذشت.”
