В Свердловской области запущены три первых солнечных электростанции. Поля солнечных батарей появились в в Артинском городском округе.

Электростанции построила группа «Хевел», общая их мощность – 37,9 МВт. В год это порядка 40 миллионов кВт/ч энергии. Все солнечные модули на объекте – российского производства. Работать они могут при экстремально низких температурах до минус 40 градусов и в пасмурную погоду. И то, и другое на Урале не редкость. Для зелёной генерации «Россети» построили умную подстанцию для учёта энергии и управления процессами.

Пока это первый крупный пилотный проект создания источника возобновляемой энергии в регионе.
