В последнее время участились случаи совершения вымогательств под угрозой распространения сведений, позорящих потерпевших.

Нередко пользователи социальных сетей хранят на своих личных страницах в социальных сетях фотографии и видео интимного характера либо иную персональную информацию, полагаясь на то, что доступ к этим данным ограничен и возможен только для владельца аккаунта.

Пользуясь этим, злоумышленники взламывают личные страницы, получают доступ ко всем хранящимся там данным и под угрозой распространения сведений начинают шантажировать пользователя, требуя взамен перевода денежных средств.

And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe.
