-مارکو روبیو، ۱۳ فوریه (۲۵ بهمن‌ماه)، در مصاحبه با شبکه «فاکس نیوز» درباره چالش‌ها و برنامه‌های وزارت خارجه آمریکا و سیاست‌های دولت دونالد ترامپ در خاورمیانه صحبت کرد.
-روبیو در این مصاحبه توضیح داد: «آنها کشورشان را نابود کردند، میلیاردها دلار را صرف حزب‌الله و گروه‌های تروریستی کردند و هیچ کاری برای مردم خود انجام ندادند. بنابراین، مشکلات داخلی بزرگی دارند و فکر می‌کنم که در این بازی شکست خورده‌اند. حزب‌الله و حماس ضعیف شده‌اند، سوریه را از دست داده‌اند و از آن کشور بیرون رانده شده‌اند».
