On the H1B Debate:

Illegals simply have to go for law & order + security.

Legal immigration is a more nuanced issue. Economically speaking, we need legal immigration restrictions to protect American workers. This is the most expedient messaging. Buy American, Hire American. We can train Americans to become engineers or work in other STEM fields, and after all we must continue to affirm that this is an actual country where an actual group of people live - not just a giant shopping mall for the world.

Trump was saying much better things about H1B’s and legal immigration in 2016 and 2020, and has weakened his stance on these issues likely because of his coalition with many in the Tech Industry who rely on H1B’s for cheap foreign indentured servants.

He wants to be remembered as a great president, and he can’t get reelected again. He’s 80 something years old. His constituency decides his legacy, not a few people in Silicon Valley. We need to set the bar high.

Shove this and everything DJT has said about Mass Deportations in the face of everyone who supports him.

We won’t get everything but we would be stupid to squander the opportunity for the removal of millions of foreign aliens and the prevention of millions of more coming in. Anyone who disagrees is suspect or stupid TBH.
