تیغه‎های چرخان هلیکوپتر نبوغ در طول هفتاد و دومین پرواز خود در ١٨ ژانویه ٢٠٢٤ آسیب دید و هلیکوپتر را برای همیشه زمین گیر کرد.
مشکلات سیستم ناوبری به دلیل خصوصیات سطح مریخ در بخشی از دهانه‎ی جیزرو باعث این حادثه شد.
