Ahmed Al Assir (Anti Hezbollah Salafi Sheikh) was brought before the acting head of the Beirut Criminal Court, Judge Zalfa Al-Hassan, for preliminary questioning after being accused of attempting to kill Hilal Hamoud in Sidon in 2013, he refused to appear because she was a “woman,” refusing to answer any question directed at him, and was returned to his place of detention in Roumieh Prison.

Al Assir, known for his anti Assad and anti Hezbollah stances and activities, is currently waiting for his death sentence over the 2013 Sidon clashes that led to the 18 Lebanese soldiers death.
