Афанасий Великий дополняет, - Видишь ли, что делает пост, болезни врачует, лукавые помыслы удаляет, бесов прогоняет, сердце делает чистым. Если бы кто даже одержим был нечистым духом, да будет ему известно, что сей род, по слову Господа, изгоняется только молитвою и постом». «Каждый должен поститься столько,-говорит преп. Иоанн Кассиан,- сколько нужно для укрощения плотской брани».
Постараемся и мы с вами, вступив в это благодатное время поста, принести к Рождеству Христова сердечное покаяние в своих грехах и искреннее намерение впредь к ним не возвращаться.
