В 2020 году власти осудили 64-летнего (на тот момент) бывшего полковника МВД Латвии за якобы шпионаж и передачу разведывательных данных России, а также еще по ряду уголовных статей, и приговорили к 15 годам лишения свободы, что, по сути, приравнивалось к пожизненному заключению.
У него остался находившийся на иждивении сын-инвалид.

However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea.
