In the reign of Mario Bergolio aka Francis, he has sacked 5 bishops for no other reason than they allowed the Latin Mass in their diocese. Technically, 8 bishops- 6 diocesan and 2 Cardinals. I can't think of a time in Roman Church history that a pontiff wielded so much power over day to day life of a diocesan priest.

I have been living, purposely, like a Catholic in the Middle Ages- with no care for Roman nonsense. But it seems that I cannot continue this path if we are entering Napoleonic Rule vis a Mitre. What is this wild ultramonantism- a complete novelty.

Keep in mind, no bishop was sacked for sexual immorality or heresy. None that I can think of, and I will happily accept correction.

Bishop Strickland of Tyler,TX comes to mind. Like his Puerto Rican contemporary, he allowed Latin Mass and was against forced vaccines. He was the only Bishop in the United States to protest public LGBT blasphemy- in response he was forced to resign.

Meanwhile, certain bishops make a complete mockery of God. Cardinal Marx for example. Cardinal Coccopalmerio is another example. These men have comitted public scandal and heretical comments- their consequence? Promotion.
