Вам точно с детства известны эти ребята — ушастые маскоты двух американских производителей батареек: Energizer и Duracell. Я углубился в их историю и выяснил, что между двумя розовыми кроликами десятки лет идёт нешуточная битва.

Кролик первым появился у Duracell, это случилось ещё в 1973 году, и делать из него маскота изначально не планировали. В рекламе на примере целой армии ушастых игрушек-барабанщиков тупо демонстрировали долговечность батареек. Образ запомнился, и Duracell его даже зарегистрировала. Тем не менее, к 1988 году копирайт просрочился, и тут подсуетились конкуренты из Energizer. Они шустро заявили права на собственного кролика-Гигачада: ярко-розового, в тёмных очках с большим барабаном в лапах. Рекламу с ним сняли откровенно пародийную, стебущую Duracell напрямую.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Ukrainian forces successfully attacked Russian vehicles in the capital city of Kyiv thanks to a public tip made through the encrypted messaging app Telegram, Ukraine's top law-enforcement agency said on Tuesday.
